▢ since the environment around these books are kind of “split” into those who believe Michael Jackson was a misunderstood 10 year mentally regressed man, who wouldn’t touch a child, usually the staunch fans, and those who thinks he actually was a serial child molester

▢ This is a false binary.
There exists a third, and maybe even a fourth, and fifth, option. (e.g. He was a mature adult person.)

That is in a nutshell the problem with the public perception.

This argument is framed as if the fans are delusional, while everybody else is realistic. Sadly there are just as many fanatic haters out there, and there are also fans, interested bystanders or people on the fence interested in facts.

When it comes to who believes what there is a more substantial differentiation: Those who have researched the facts from reputable sources and those who haven’t.
